MATLAB Microelectronic Coding Problem - Stopping Power

Students explore passive shielding to protect astronauts and electronics on Mars.

Students will create a script that:

  1. Imports data and assigns meaningful variables to columns

  2. Creates a vector of stopping percentages between 80% and 99%

  3. Uses provided equations to calculate the shielding thickness for different materials

  4. Creates vector(s) of shielding thicknesses for 2 MeV protons

  5. Graphs the stopping percentages and shielding thicknesses of different materials on two x-y coordinate graphs
