Coding Basics Activity Contextualized in an Assistive Technology Project
This activity introduces students to the basics of how to program an Arduino Uno Rev3 microcontroller. The assignment is contextualized in narrative where students take the role of assistive technology developers that are using their engineering skills to help a fictional client, Jordan, who is nonverbal and has limited motor ability in their hands. It is ideal for college and high school students who first learning about the basics of programming a microcontroller. It requires the use of materials which can all be found in the ELEGOO kit linked in this resource.
